The Moomins are celebrating their 80th anniversary in 2025, as the first Moomin novel by Tove Jansson, The Moomins and the Great Flood, was published in 1945. Moomintroll and Moominmamma set off to find the missing Moominpappa and get into wild adventures along the way. During their journey, a great flood rises, and they experience many dangers and scares. Eventually, the family is happily reunited, and they arrive in a small valley - the most beautiful place they have ever seen. It just so happens that the house Moominpappa has built, a very nice house painted blue, has also been washed up there.
